STUDENT VISA REQUIREMENTS IN AUSTRALIA

Australia student VISA requirements for Filipino students

  1. Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE): Obtain a valid CoE from an Australian educational institution. You must be accepted into a full-time registered course listed on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).

  2. Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement: Provide evidence that you genuinely intend to stay in Australia temporarily for the purpose of studying. This may involve a written statement explaining your intentions and circumstances.

  3. Financial requirements: Demonstrate that you have enough funds to cover your tuition fees, living costs, and other expenses. The Australian government sets the minimum amount of funds required, which may vary depending on the duration of your course and whether you have dependents accompanying you.

  4. English language proficiency: Meet the English language requirements set by the educational institution you have applied to. This might involve providing English proficiency test scores, such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE Academic.

  5. Health and character requirements: Undergo a medical examination by an approved panel physician and obtain health insurance through the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of your stay. You may also need to provide police clearance certificates from each country you have lived in for 12 months or more over the past ten years.

  6. Genuine access to funds for education: Provide evidence that you have genuine access to the funds required for your education and living expenses. This can include bank statements, income certificates, or sponsorships.

  7. Visa application form: Complete the student visa application form (subclass 500) and pay the relevant visa application fee. You can submit your application online through the Department of Home Affairs website.

  1. A copy of your passport along with a copy of your driver licence or national identity card and your birth certificate. 

  2. A completed visa application form (157A).

  3. English test scores.

  4. Resume & Certificate of Employment

  5. Confirmation of Enrolment or an Offer letter from the institution.

  6. Evidence of your financial capacity to support your studies. 

  7. Health Insurance (OSHC).

  8. Criminal check record. 

  9. Health check-up results.

  10. Recent passport-size pictures.
